I agree that both sides probably had their issues and things could have been handled more gracefully. I think I already said that it's just silly. I never said anything about Kumi's opinions being right/wrong/mature/immature - but simply that it's subjective. Did it call for reporting as abuse or cancellation? Probably not.
If the individual in question withdrawn their complaint, I hope that they're also putting in a word to reinstate her blog.
Please note I am her friend, and that she's one of my closest buddies, through thick and thin. I may not always agree with her and she respects that. (Hell, she doesn't always agree with me.) But as her friend, I am biased - and as this is my blog, even though I tend to hold my tongue more than others, I feel it ok to show my bias. I did try, at least, to not post names or pronouns - since those who know already know and those who don't know, I figure, don't care about the details.
Oh, no, I understand. You had stated that you had been quite busy, so this was more my attempt to "bring you up to speed" as it were on both sides. I don't know either personally and I hope you didn't mind my filling in a "few blanks" as it were.
I have plenty of reasons to be biased myself. I've read your work for years and as a result have had the pleasure of seeing some of Kumi's work in the process. I've not known Renee at all, so I have no reason to feel inclined to believe him, hence the reason I wrote "he claims" and "he said".
I've signed the petition for Kumi, if it will do any good.
Heh, no problem. I get what you're saying about Rene and that does fill in a few blanks. It did seem to be part of a previous disagreement going on here with the way things transpired.
Hopefully you'll get your account back soon. In the meantime, try using Semagic for your posting (Windows). It has all the editing capability you might need. It doesn't help with replies in other people's journals, but any that you own or groups you belong to can be posted to directly from the program without using the LJ web interface. Also, you can switch between "what you see is what you get" mode and HTML, so you can edit and then copy/paste the HTML into LJ for other replies and it has spell check too. If you use Mac, I'm sure there's something out there just like it.
