hello and goodbye

I saw this on the web one day:

A sick girl called her friend one day after school and asked if she had ended school and if she wanted to go home.

But her friend said that she’s in the library doing her work and doesn’t want to go home so early.

So the girl negotiated with her friend, asking if it they could go home earlier. Her friend said 4.45pm so the girl decided to wait for her friend to go home together.

At 4.50pm, the girl called her friend but her friend said she needed a while more and the girl decided to go home without her friend.

The girl was pissed because she was sick for one, and she waited for her friend, only to end up going home alone in the end at 5pm. So is it the girl’s fault for “forcing” her friend to compromise with her to go home together and that the friend had never asked the girl to wait?

How ironic and familiar is this story. You’ve always known how insecure a person I am and yet, you are doing this to me. I won’t have minded if you had told me in the face that no, I don’t want you to wait for me. I’d rather you say that than let me wait and guess that hey oh you didn’t want me to wait for you? I’m so sorry for being so slow and not understanding what you want to say and getting your hint.

You know, I’m really afraid of giving my heart out to anyone right now and then get it thrown back at me. You know how insecure I am and you did exactly how you know can hurt me. Maybe you didn’t realize, maybe you think that it’s some small little thing, maybe you prefer your new found good friend. You know, your actions, had caused everything that has changed.

Goodbye the old Wei Wei. Hello the new Wei Wei. I need to hide and mask myself.

Putting on the face mask.
