This is a peice of an old entry i wrote. It seems to fit just perfectly.
"A wise friend of mine recently said that love makes people crazy. That through denial and acts of betrayal, love can impair ones ability to see what’s really there, or quite frankly, what isn't. I’m beginning to realize unfashionably late, that these words are entirely true. My belief is that if you truly love someone and you hurt them even once, you’ll do anything in the world not to do it again.
Though, overlooking all of the corruption and lies of what's seemingly forming today's model relationships, lies a real mind boggler. Is it acceptable to voluntarily allow one’s vision to be clouded for a simple feeling, title, thrill, or emotion? And more importantly, will we continue to close our eyes to what’s undeniably hurting us time and time again?
What appears to be the motto of today’s day and age is, hurt.. or be hurt. If you want to survive in this place, it’s as if you must become unreservedly ruthless. Because remember, it’s not about love. Its about sex. You have to go to great lengths to protect what you have and those you love, because you never know who’s trying to get a glimpse, right."
