Livejournal became a lot less fun when i started getting worried about who would respond to what and hoping that people would respond-- I liked it better when I thought of this as a diary that other people happened to read rather than the social networking bullshit that is supposedly is.
So, Back to a semi-journal thing.
wringing more than 140 letters is both taxing and relieving. HA! I can be my wordy self and cause damage.
Frankly, I like twitter. Its keeping me amused just to come up with something in 140 characters or less about the stupid shit I'm doing. Definately makes the boring shit slightly less boring.
I have been cleaning the house. Well, Cleaning, reorganizing, and throwing out about 40% of everything Alan and I own. With the goal of moving next August, we're really going to have to start cutting down on the stupid shit. Its bad enough we have more furnature than more people who have actually BOUGHT houses bigger than our tiny rental, but lets add 4 years of dating and 3 years of living together up to amount to a whole lot of mostly useless crap. Don't get me started on the things in the Star Wars room--- They're AWESOME, but they're HORRIBLY useless. Eh, I'll get over it. For now, I'm going to correct the "we have 8 ratchet sets" issue and stay away from the dangerous thoughts that connect with Star trek and star wars. I just really want our potential move to go as smoothly as possble. This means I need a job, of course, but it also means we need to have less than 3 truckloads of stuff. 'Cause lets face it, moving ANYWHERE with ... 5 dressers, 2 desks, a hutch, a bookshelf, queensize bed, couch, loveseat, lazy susan table, stationary bike, 2 dvd shelves, 65 gallon fish tank, 26 gallon fishtank, 55 gallon fish tank, 75 gallon fishtank, papisan... AND THATS JUST THE FURNITURE I CAN NAME WITHOUT HAVING TO THINK ABOUT IT. Not to mention all of our stuff. we have (presumably) 1 year to get this down to sane levels. Not so sure "sane" is really a factor, but I understand what i mean without being literal, so should you.
by the way.
COLD TURKEY! 4 days, 20 hours and 20 minutes, Avoided 72.71 cigarettes and saved $22.17 .
I'm a work in progress.
Other than that... my life is surprisingly lacking in excitement without a job. We've moved things around again, making the back room the exercise room, complete with the bike and weights and all the nonsense. We've actually lost a few pounds. Nothing major, I really do mean a few.
Yeah, That's just about it. Alan's working late tonight so he should be home in about half an hour... hopefully I'll have the couches clean by then. so he doesn't have to deal with cleaning anything.
Ta!
