Katie and I went to the Lovedrug concert with Eric James and Sleeping At Last. Mhm. It was in downtown Akron at this little bar called The Lime Spider. I should be a city kid. I should. There are too many goddamn one way streets there though. Motherfuck.
We got there at 8, and like many other people, we were under the impression that it was when the doors opened. Apparently, it wasn't til 9. The show didn't start til awhile later. The small place was kinda cool, because they had no backstage or anything, so you could go wherever you wanted, and the people in the bands just walked around too. No one really...cared though, which I found odd.
Sleeping At Last played first. They sounded pretty good and I liked them well enough. I like them better live, I think. The singer was so cute. Like teddy bear cute. They played a ton of songs. This huge guy with a mohawk was in front of me and I wanted to kick his face in.
We sat down and leaned against the wall while they were changing sets. Yeah, we sat on the floor of a bar, woo for us. "Eric James" (and the Comotions?) came next and we just stood by the wall. I didn't like what I heard when I listened to them online, and I still didn't really, but I'd have to say I could tolerate them more live.
Lovedrug. Sweet band. From Canton. Represent. The guitarist is the one that went to our school. The drummer is fucking cool and somewhat hot (minus the really greasy look he had going tonight). We were on the side of the stage like sitting on the guitar cases or something. They played for at least an hour, and I was starting to get disappointed because I didn't think they were going to play my favorite song. Of course, they played it last. It's all good though. <3 Them.
We were pretty tired though lol. Too much standing and clapping for the whole day. Oh well. I should probably go to bed.
I still need to make the background transparent. Figure out why it doesn't work.
