Made with Photoshop CS3
------>
This time I have a Kristen Stewart Tutorial. It works best with skinny picture, maybe very close to the face. I made it with Photoshop CS3 but it should work with others versions of Photoshop, too. Not translatable beacuse of selective coloring.
Let`s start with preparing your base. If you use a bigger picture, then open it in your program, select the hole picture (Ctrl+a), copy it (Ctrl+c) open a new canvas (Ctrl+n) in size 100x100 px and put the picture into the new canvas (Ctrl+v). Resize it or move it until you like the position.
Then duplicate your picture (select it in your layer window and then push Ctrl+j) and set it to Soft Light 100 %. This will give your picture more Contrast and the dark parts (in this case her hair) will get darker.
Now we want to give her face an natural yellow look. So we go to Layer- new adjustment layer-Selective Color and put in this settings:
REDS:
Cyan: 15
Magenta: 15
Yellow: 18
Neutrals:
Cyan: 13
Magenta: -2
Yellow: 16
Blacks:
Black: 30
But now her skin is to red, so lets increase it with a channel mixer. Go to Layer-new adjustment layer-Chanell Mixer and put in this settings:
REDS:
Red: 91
Blue: -1
Now her skin has a green touch. I like it. But it looks to boring at the moment and it`s for my case to bright. As you maybe have noticed, her eyes have this nice red around them. Let`s bring it out more. I`m going to make a Fill Layer. For this one you should go to Layer-new adjustment layer-Solid Color and fill this new layer with a really dark blue (not black). I just #040731. Set it to Exclusion and opacity 100%
Now the picture has a yellow touch. It doesn`t look good now but it will help a lot in the end. To give the picture a green effect back I just another Fill Layer. Go to Layer-new adjustment layer-Solid Color and fill it with a really dark brown. I just #311604. Set it to Exclusion and opacity 100%
As you can see, this Fill Layers have taken away a lot of the contrast. But we will start to give them back this contrast by using Curves. Got to Layer- new adjustment layer- Curves and put in this settings:
RGB:
Point 1:
Input: 92 Output: 101
Point 2:
Input: 114 Output: 124
RED:
Point 1:
Input: 91 Output: 100
Point 2:
Input: 133 Output: 136
I have set this Curves layer to Lighten 100 %. The picture is now brighter and we have also inscreasen the red parts. But that`s not enough. I want more xD Go to Layer- new adjustment layer- Selective Color and put in this settings:
REDS:
Cyan: -47
Yellow: 23
I like it, but it still looks like she is ill with this green skin and the bright red around her eyes. We will fix it with a channel mixer layer. Go to Layer-new adjustment layer-Channel Mixer and use this settings:
REDS:
Red: 103
Last Step, I promise. Now we want to give the hole picture some contrast. Remember what we did at the beginning? Right, we duplicated the base and set it to Soft Light. Let`s do it again, but this time we bring the duplicated soft light layer to the top and increase the opacity to 32 %.
Now you`re ready. Hope you liked it. Please comment if you liked the tutorial.
Because of the many wishes I added the PSD. You can download it
