The snow storm yesterday did not leave anywhere near as much snow as predicted.
But, I was still thankful I worked from home yesterday.
I was also thankful that our internet connection was back.
As has been tradition for a while now, my wife and I get together with
yebo &
zosh for the holiday. As my wife and Yebo work at a university they invite any students with no place to go to the holiday to come to their house for it.
I usually do the turkey cooking. That takes about 5 hours, so I got up somewhat early to start. My wife wanted to support me in this, so moved to the living room while I cooked.
The good news is it is very easy to cook a turkey.
But, then I had to go clear off the snow from yesterday. I’m thankful it was the 4 times as much predicted!
I did not bother with my car.
We got there and got everything ready for the meal. Only one student joined us this year.
It was clear that Yebo turns more left than right when he drives.
I am thankful for the good meal. But, I do admit it isn’t going to help me with that plane seat in 2 weeks…
After eating we broke out some games. Dixit was first.
This is as close to a pair as you can get it Dixit!
After that, desert time!
Finally we played the game of decapitation. Nothing says major holiday like that, right?
