Thanks for all the well wishes on the dentist yesterday.
It went well enough. I’ve got a temp crown on my tooth that will hopefully
last until the final one comes in a couple of weeks from now.
It is difficult for me at the dentist as I don’t like being touched, and
have a lot of trouble breathing on my back with my head lower than my body.
My nose tends to close up in those conditions, and it’s hard to breath
though the mouth when he’s working on it.
The nose breathing problem in this case used to be a great help when
swimming. I never had problems with water up my nose even when diving 10
meters down. But, not so good in the dentist chair.
One of the things I like about our dentist is that he does really listen.
Last time I was there I had told him I was having thermal problems at work.
This time he suggested some things for the thermal problem. We had tested
those things already, so I was able to tell him how they worked. (You have
to do something while the Novocain sets, right?)
I certainly like this dentist more than my last. My last dentist was very
good at the job, but would often show up late. That really annoyed me as
if I showed up late my appointment was cancelled. But, if I was sitting in
the dentist chair 20 minutes are we were supposed to start and I see my
dentist coming in from the parking lot carrying bags from the local
shopping mall? No, that’s not cool.
I’ll grant you, last night when I showed up at the new dentist’s office,
the door was locked and I had to wait outside. But, I was 30 minutes early
and he got there 5 minutes later. So, 25 minutes early is a lot better
than 20 minutes late.
