A good visit to the Registry of Motor Vehicles

It’s been a couple of months now since I tried to sell my old station wagon
that had been as far as the moon and instead left julytooth
with a large red paperweight on the side of the New Jersey Turnpike.
Since then I’ve been trying to get the registration canceled so I can stop
paying insurance on the NJ paperweight.
Although the RMV has an on line transaction section that is supposed to do
that, I have never been able to get it to work no mater which computer,
browser or OS I use to do it.  (PC, Mac, iPad, Explorer, Safari, Chrome,
Firefox)

Today, I went to the RMV branch about a mile from my new office.
I walked in, told the woman at the desk what I wanted, she took the plates,
handed me a receipt and I was back in my car before the radio had finished
the song it was on when I went in.

That was amazingly good time for dealing with the RMV.  I hope it wasn’t a
fluke.

surprise, car, rmv, happy
