Florida photos

Monday we drove off to the Worcester airport about noon. It is up on top of a hill on the edge of Worcester and you can see all the way to Boston from there.

We took off about sunset and flew down the coast as it got darker. It was pretty dark when we landed at Orlando.

My wife issues very fond of a certain hotel in Orlando. It isn’t cheap, but we’re only there a few nights. I keep trying to get into the new tower by asking for a room with a balcony, but I keep getting the rooms in the old tower with a balcony big enough to have a party on. It was up on the 25th floor, so it is a nice view.

Tuesday started foggy and we drove up to our cousin Christine’s place, about 1/2 hour north.

We had no idea what she wanted to do for her birthday. About half the time it is Disney and on December 24th, that’s often pretty crowded. But, this year she picked driving to Tampa for the Florida Aquarium. We know she picked that as we don’t like doing Disney on the holiday. Given it was her birthday, that was still nice.
My wife and I had not been to Tampa before and like aquariums, so it was good for us.

It’s an aquarium. Lots of fish. But, birds, turtles, alligators and other things too.

We did not see Santa.

We did not use the hurricane simulator.

We did have lunch.

We then drove back to Orlando, stopping for little cakes on the way, then stopped at her father Tom’s home before heading out to dinner.

Wednesday had a nicer start to it. We went back to Tom’s place and started cooking. It might have been the last box of Bell’s stuffing ever. Who knows.

I dodged little lizards and went and got Christine.

The food was good and we had a nice visit.

Dropping Christine off at home, we continued north to visit my wife’s aunt.

We then headed back reasonably late.

Thursday morning was nice and we flew back home. They have strange bubble things at the Orlando airport.

We did fly close to our house, our friends who have game night and where I went to school.

Then, we were home.
