We left the Mont St Michael and headed back to Paris.
There was one sad windmill we saw with only 2 out of 3 blades. Very sad.
We followed this camper for more than an hour.
Before we got to Paris we filled up the car.
And, paid many tolls.
As we got to the Paris area the moon rose over the highway. It was very pretty.
Getting the rental car returned was a challenge. There were very few signs for where to bring it. We had to go through the airport three different times on different roads before we finally found the place to drop it off.
"They didn’t give you instructions when you got the car?" the woman who checked me in asked.
"No."
"How else could you find us?"
"Trial and error."
But, we got to the hotel, checked in and had a nice dinner.
Monday morning we walked over to the terminal for our 7AM flight to London.
Every flight I’ve ever taken out of Heathrow before this was from terminal 5. But, the flight back to Boston was from terminal 3. So, onto a shuttle bus across the airport.
We had breakfast at one of those sushi restaurants where the food comes around on a conveyer belt.
Then out to our plane and off towards the new world.
Our path did not take the expected route. Still not sure why.
I did look for whales in Massachusetts bay as we got near Boston. I might have seen some. I’m not sure. I’ve seen them from planes before, but when we were lower over their preferred area.
But, we got back to Boston no worries.
There was an issue getting our luggage as they had sent the luggage for 4 different flights to the same carousel. So, a long wait, then very crowded with bags.
But, we got out of the airport and home.
