We’ve reached the time of year the sun is not up when I leave for work. And, I’m leaving 90 to 100 minutes later than I used to…
Before I go each morning I work on the french lessons. They are not going well.
My office faces pretty close to directly away from the equator, so no sunlight comes in. But, I can see the sun on the trees outside my window. That isn’t enough for me to put plants on my windowsill, but is better than being in the center of the building like the last job where I had to stand and look through someone else’s office to see outside.
My workplace did have a "paperclip sculpture" contest. I did not submit one and voted for the grasshopper. It came in 3rd.
Tuesday night the old group from my last job got together for dinner. I do miss working with them, but not the job itself.
I’m not sure about the new passport photos. But as they say, if you look like your photo, it’s time to go home…
Friday was on line game night. Only three of us logged on, but we still had fun. As always, I never expect to win games against a guy with a Phd in game theory, so I try and make sure I think about my moves the least of anyone. I tied the one where I got a text that made me rejoin the call, but "won" the other one.
This morning my wife signed up for flu and covid shots at 7AM, so I did the same. We got our shots and then went for breakfast.
The Ihop we went to is on top of a hill with a nice view, but they built the restaurant facing the parking lot instead of the view. Not impressed with that.
We stopped at Home Despot so I could get something to repair our faire chairs. I was not surprised to see Halloween stuff, but was a bit surprised by the Christmas stuff in September.
I did go shipping later in the day, but was happy to come home with those shots in my arm…
I found it funny my hosting company is trying to sell me a web site for the "performance group" I made up for my web comic:
https://frankscomics.dreamwidth.org/ I won’t lie, I still have stories to tell with that comic. And, since putting it on hold a few months ago, have still been working on it. But, with the new job I couldn’t keep up the ever day I did for 2 years.
When I get enough made, I’ll do it for a while again.
But, I expect to keep getting stories I want to mock from performances as long as Phoenix Swords is still going.
