Week in photos

We are in the, very short, time of year I drive to and from work in the sunlight.

The company that owns my work building decided that the time to pave the lot was on two of the days everyone is obligated to be in the office, instead of the two where they are not…

The first day we parked at the end of the building. The area just past the building is designated for wildlife, but is only 5 meters to the next parking lot, so not really a big help…

The next day they told us we should park where we normally do, but blocked off that area, so all of us drove back down to the other end again.

They had us move, but I’m not sure why they thought we’d run the barricade…

Traffic is normally better in the warm months, but not this week.

And, some people apparently never learned to park.

Friday was the burial of my wife’s uncle who died at the end of December 2022.
We met her family at the graveyard.

I might have overdressed…

We did go back to her cousins afterwards. I didn’t stay long as had a Zoom interview for another company I needed to get to.

Once done I returned in less formal clothes to play with the puppies her cousin’s wife was watching for the night before moving them on to an adoption group.

They were very cute, and we were offered at least one of them. But, we turned them down due to our apartment. (And, it would be tough to raise a puppy in the sword troupe’s busy season anyhow.)

This morning we went out for brunch. Although a VERY nice day, it wasn’t very crowded.

This afternoon we had a call with our friend and our godkids. Both Ben and Gabriele were there and we got updates on school, hair and issues with car tires.

It was a nice visit. We haven’t talked with our godson in a few months due to school, but he’s on summer break now. We hope to see them in person some time over the summer.
