Here are the photos that go with these entries on our third day on the cruise in Africa:

I woke up before the ship pulled into port. The water was very still, the sun was just below the horizon and it was very pretty.

I could see where we were going and the folks guiding the ship.

It was interesting seeing how we docked.

And. it was a nice view of the city.

We said goodbye to our cabin steward and set off to get off the ship.

This involved us waiting until our color, grey, was called, then walking off the ship.

We signed up for a tour of the city, so hard to find our bus.

We headed out of the port to Table Mountain.

Nice view, but we were going higher in the cable car.

The floor of the cable car spins as you go up and down, which is a bit strange.

Very nice view from the top. (Don’t ask about the hat my wife has on…)

After an hour or so, we had to meet up and go back down to the bus.

We weren’t given our ticket down until everyone was there, but then we all crammed into the car.

Then, back down, fairly quickly.

After a long wait for the bus we headed off to lunch.

We don’t know what this sign means. Do people sleep with the gun?

They’re still trying to get folks to vote.

We ate by the big head.

As we ate, the mountain we had just been on caught fire.

So, instead of going back to the hill, we opted to see the rest of the city instead.

Then, off to the airport.

We didn’t fly out until the next night, but stayed at the airport hotel.
