Hurricane Legos

Last weekend we didn’t have sword practice as hurricane Henri was supposed to be going over our sword practice area just about the time we’d be doing it.
In addition to not wanting to stand in a hurricane doing fire and or swords, I also thought that the owner of our practice area probably wanted all his stuff in his garage for the storm, so wouldn’t be as happy with us wanting to sword fight there.

With nothing to do while the storm came by, I decided to work on one of the Lego kits I had bought a while ago and not gotten around to building.

Because, even if I couldn’t do my sword fights, I’d still have at least some swords, right?

I started about 11 in the morning with all 14 bags of Legos.

In a couple of hours I had the base done.

Although we did lose power about 8 that morning, it was only for a short time and it remained on the rest of the day. That’s good as it got fairly dark with the storm.

By dinner time I had most of it together.

That only left the donkey cart and people to put together after dinner.

I put it on my "desk" for working from home on the upper shelf. I have to admit where to put it was one of the reasons I kept it in pieces. But, on the racks for my desk is good enough.
