I often talk to my wife on my drive home. (We’ve got hands free in both cars, so I keep my hands on the wheel.)
There is a cellphone dead spot fairly close to where we live, at the bottom of a big dip in the road.
Just before the dead zone is a farm stand. To let my wife know I’m coming to the dead zone I read her what’s on sale on the farm stand sign.
But since I’m going by fairly fast, I can usually only read the first line.
“Easter pies!”
“Zucchini!”
“Rhubarb!”
But, the last week it has been:
“Now picking worlds”.
That’s a strange one.
The second line makes more sense:
“worlds sweetest corn!”
To me, “Now picking worlds” sounds like a good title to a science fiction anthology book.
But, as far as I can tell, no one has written it yet.
Hopefully it will come out soon!
