Trip to England, day 15
Tuesday we got up early and got on the Underground before rush hour.
We went to that train station for bears.
We took the train out to the airport.
Although they tell you to get there 3 hours early, they won’t tell you your gate until 90 minutes before the flight.
So, you wait a lot. I think this is to make people go shopping.
I expect that is how this guy got that hat.
I was excited to see what plane we were getting. I hadn’t been on a 380 before.
We were in the back of the second floor.
I always think the "women" sign on Airbus products look like an electrical outlet.
You get really deep windows there.
I liked that you got arm rest/storage boxes too. They were very cool!
Off we went.
We went out over the singing toilets of Swindon.
It was cloudy for a lot of the trip, but they began to break up as we got over North America.
I could see Cape Cod as we came over Massachusetts bay.
I saw Boston off to our left. Funny as I thought that’s where we were going…
We turned left…
Only 7 1/2 hours after take off, we were back in Boston…
Being in the back of the second floor is not a way to get off fast.
I was happy to see a lack of giant moths on the buildings downtown.
I was not happy with the traffic.
We got home, got dinner and went to bed early.
An interesting trip. But, I was glad we were home.
