Week in photos

Monday morning I left home at 4AM and drive into Boston.

It was a strangely easy drive without problem.

I think it is the shortest security line I’ve seen since 9/11. I walked right up and right through. No wait at all.
Well, for security. Then, I waited for the plane.

But, eventually it got there.

The guy next to me spent the whole trip listening to CNN without headphones. I like the news and all, but that was obnoxious. First of all, they play it all the time in the airport. So, I had already heard everything on the news. Then, he turned it up very loud due to the plane noise.

And, you have to pay to have wifi on the plane. You’d think if you can afford that, you can afford some earphones…

I spent most of the time looking out the window.

It didn’t take us long to reach the clouds.

It was cloudy the whole way there, the ground only visible just before we landed.

When I tried to check in on the plane, it couldn’t find me. The list of places I’ve checked in over the last month is interesting…

The Baltimore airport has a 24 hour flower dispensing machine…

The company I was visiting was totally high class.

Our inspection finished very quickly as they had no procedures to actually inspect.
We had expected to spend all day there, so planned to fly back the next morning. But, by two we had seen all we needed to see and headed back out.
Soon we were back at the airport.

We missed the afternoon plane home, so had several house to kill. We ate at the diner at the airport.

I asked the waitress if Amish really came from eggs and what buffalos were not organic.

She assured me they do hatch from eggs, which is why they have those hats. And, that bison cover Maryland for fresh meatloaf.

I still decided for something else.

I also opted for the crab cake sandwich.

I was surprised to find the diner had its own flag.

There was a few hours until my plane, so not much to do but chase Pokemon…

Eventually, I got on the plane.

I got to drive home in a snow/freezing rain storm. It was still going on Tuesday morning.

But, driving was better.

It was almost still daylight when I left work.

Thursday we went for sushi. We saw a friend’s car. It’s the same model and year as mine, but a different color. Facebook confirmed it was really her, but she was at a different place in the mall.

That isn’t why my wife was unhappy.

(She had a bad day at work…)

Friday it was almost day again.

As I drove to work, the day/night line swept towards me.

And, before I got to work, the sun was actually up.

Sadly, my soda drawer at work was empty.

But, we found that TimTams really are being sold here in the US!

Today we went for lunch at the pizza place near us. There was a group of 30 teenagers for a birthday party. It was a loud crowd.

But, we got our pizza.

trip, snow, work, photos, winter, pizza, sushi
