This morning we drove off past the pig bus to retrieve our tent.
One of our former members had spent the night in it. His wife and kids had planned to as well, but found it cold, damp and buggy. So, they left for home and told him to make his own way home when he could.
Either way, we showed up to get the tent.
We pantsed it about the time
blue_micha pedaled over to help us.
Folding it up is much easier with a bunch of folks helping.
My wife agreed with this so much, she went and helped other people fold up tents.
Then, off to storage to put it away. We probably won’t be needing the tent until the fall, so might as well have it out of the car.
As we drove off to lunch I saw they were rebuilding the clock tower on the mental hospital in Worcester. I’m happy about that. It’s a landmark. And, mental hospitals should have clock towers that overlook large parts of the city. Right?
When we went to lunch, my wife was asked for her ID to prove she was old enough to drink. That was nice as we have been married longer than the amount of time you must live in order to drink.
But, I had used her phone to download the photos from yesterday and not put it back in her purse. So, she didn’t have it and the ID she keeps with it on her. Sad.
The manager came over and said it was OK. So, my wife got her drink.
Then, off to the comic store. I don’t think DC comics intended this in their Metropolis set up…
This coming Friday is game night. So, I spent some time looking for a new game for that.
Then, home to where new neighbors aren’t parking well…
Then, I had to admit my secret shame to my wife.
What can I say. Sometimes I get the urge to see movies that I know only encourage bad things.
But, my wife was very kind and indulged me.
So, we went to see the new Terminator movie.
Actually, not as bad as expected.
At least in my mind, better than the last two. But, not as good as the first two…
We stopped for dinner at our favorite Thai place that is very close to the movie theater, and then headed home for the night.
Tomorrow I have off. So, it is going to be tackle the mountain of laundry day for me!
