Well hello live journal. Look at me go.
So I'm back from DC and now call St. Louis home. Let me tell you... this city is worlds apart from Chicago. I really miss Chicago a lot. I feel like St. Louis is a good 15 years behind the rest of the Mid West... well... at least the urban parts of it. Leah and I still frequently have to remind ourselves that we actually live here.
In good news... I love law school. Judge me as you will, but I really like it. I love the topics, its a good mix between common sense and challenging, and so far the professors are fantastic. I haven't really met many people that I would like to keep in touch with tomorrow let alone after school's out, but that comes with time I suppose.
Its also odd not having an income. Its going to take me awhile to get used to this. Dad's definitely helping me out which is invaluable, but its still hard to not be self sufficient. This place really is high school... we're all broke, living off our parents, meet up by the lockers (yes, lockers), and practically run out of the building on Friday. Where am I?
So yeah... my life quickly went from middle schoolers 18 hours a day to the mystical life they call 1L. In good news, this life allows sleep.
I suppose I need some new icons now that I'm here. I'll work on that at some point. For now, the Boston jersey in honor of what could have been. Now with Papi out indefinitely, I'm starting my post season mourning now. I know we still have a chance, but I feel it slipping away daily. *sigh*
So I'm officially back to LJ. I think I'm going to be one of those that will do most my posts friends only. So... get your LJ name and friend me. I'm not that entertaining, but I'm horrible at keeping in touch.
