I've been seeing a lot of reviews lately about this book! Most are very positive; I've already convinced myself to pick it up before the month is over. One of the biggest draws for me is the humor. Austen's writing has spoiled all Victorian literature for me: I demand some level of witty satire or self deprecating humor to go hand in hand with plots set in that time period. :D
ah, then this book has plenty of funny one-liners to spare! I laughed out loud quite a bit while reading, which earned me the "are you ok?!" concerned type looks from my family.
I take it as a "You must read this" sign whenever I encounter a favorable, intriguing reviews of a book multiple times on the blogosphere. It's like subconscious advertising; my bookworm self can't resist.
I did, thank you!! I have to say the Victorian setting fooled me for a bit though…because there certainly weren’t any Victorian mores being strictly enforced!! =P But that was when I gave up and enjoyed it for what it is.
