Day 06 - A song that reminds of you of somewhere
Metallica - Enter Sandman
This song will forever take me back to 6th form through to the end of University and the Hollybush Inn in Witney. At the time one of my mates from school, Dan Goddard, was running the shed at the back of the beer garden as a music venue and as such it became the regular haunt for me and my peers. When bands weren't playing we would stuff the jukebox with money and take it over as the soundtrack for our beer drinking, chatter and pool playing. 'Enter Sandman' was one of those tracks that would always get played at least once per night (along with 'Heroes' as I recall). I never really fitted in at school, but this was a time and place where I came closest... The Hollybush Inn has changed from the rough around the edges pub that I knew in my youth into a somewhat trendy wine bar/gastropub. This makes me a bit sad :(
