Summary : Pi has always nursed a crush on Kame. He never got the guts to confess and decided to move on. But thanks to recent projects between him and Kame as well the countdown concert, Pi finally decided to let Kame know his real feelings.

Happy Belated Birthday dear...I'm really sorry I cant make it for your birthday...I was so nervous writing this very first Pikame, I kept on deleting and rewriting this fic. Pi was a mess. Well, it was such a rare moment for the great leader of NEWS to be associated with such statement and he was not dressed that shabby either. But his mind was a mess and it shows.
The good looking guy was sitting in their dressing room, with an uncharacteristic frowned, flipping a magazine. He sighed and messes his hair every two seconds while scanning the poor piece of paper that obviously had been abused by the guy. He closed it and opened it again staring at the same page, unaware that his very movements were being observed by Tegoshi.
After the endless sighs, he finally clasped the magazine close, carefully placed it on the coffee table and walked over to the younger guy who was reading at his dressing table. The older guy pulled a chair and sat next to the younger guy. They exchanged knowing glances through their reflections as Pi carefully trying to tame his disheveled hair.
Pi was secretly thanking the other members for being late, leaving him alone with Tegoshi as he does have such a delicate matter to be discussed with the youngest guy “What are you reading?”
Tegoshi perfectly knew that the manga was not the reason earned him his leader graced, but he was such a nice guy and played along “Oh, just some new manga I borrow from Koki. It’s about baseball.”
The older guy arched his nicely trim brows at the mentioned of 2 keywords; Koki and baseball. He heaved heavily trying to find the next sentences “Ano, can I talk to you about something?”
Tegoshi was surprise that Pi didn’t drag the small talk longer. ‘This must be serious then’ he thought to himself. The younger guy obliged by putting down the manga on the table and slightly moved his chair facing the older guy “I’m all ears. “
Pi mirrored the younger guy’s action by facing the smaller guy, but his eyes were on his shoes instead. “I am not so sure who to turn to” he started a bit too soft.
“You know you can talk to me about anything” Tegoshi added encouragingly.
The leader smiled nervously and sighed again “I have a crush on someone” he finally declared. He slowly tilted his head upwards staring at the brown orbs of the eager youngster half expecting a chuckle or even a snort. But as none happen except the encouraging smiled, Pi continued “I know this person for awhile already but due to some circumstances, I never confess.”
The only replies came from the younger guy were firm nods.
“I thought I’ve move on. Well, I know I did. But thanks to recent happening, I’m getting all mess up again” he admitted shyly.
“I’m sure you are not the only one feeling this way. That person might share the same feelings and wanted you to take the action” Tegoshi finally commented.
Pi shook his head “I’m not sure. It’s a bit complicated.”
Tegoshi nodded and added cautiously “I still think you should confess. I mean, rather than keeping it to yourself not knowing what will happen, confessing will be the best way. At least you know how the other feels about it.”
Pi sighed again “But what if the person rejected me?”
The younger guy shook his head “Kame won’t rejects you.”
At that very moment a loud noise echoed in the room as Pi fell from his chair looking very much petrified “How did you know?” he stuttered.
Tegoshi quickly pushed his chair backwards, bending down to help Pi up. Then the younger guy leads the distraught leader to the empty couch and sat next to him. “Sorry for scaring you like that?”
Pi took a deep breath and sit up staring at the other “How did you know it’s Kame?”
“From your previous action” Tegoshi answered sweetly as he points at Pi’s magazine. “I happen to have that copy as well and know very well which pages were tormenting you earlier.”
The older guy was taken aback by the revelation and slowly calms down “You really scare me just now.”
Tegoshi let out a friendly laughter “I have known all along that you like him. You always acted composed when he’s around, obviously, trying to show him your reliable side. But I never got enough evidence to confront you”
“I did that?” Pi asked in disbelief.
“Yes you did. So are you going to confess to him anytime soon?” the younger guy queried.
The older guy went quiet over the question. Then he slowly shook his head “I don’t know. I don’t think I should. I mean Jin is my best friend.”
“I thought they are only friends?” the younger guy asked curiously as he further observed the other.
Pi nodded softly “Yes they are. But Kame will always have a special spot in Jin’s heart.”
“I really think you should confess” Tegoshi replied encouragingly. “Think about it” he added.
But before Pi could reply to it, the door burst opened as Ryo steps in looking as he’s going to kill someone “Someone took my parking space” he growled loudly.
The interruption saved Pi from the needs to answer Tegoshi.

“Why are you still at home?” Ryo was practically screaming in his ear through the receiver. But it was understandable since the background music was too loud to be heard with the normal decibel.
“I don’t feel like going out tonight” Pi plopped himself on the couch and took the remote control beneath the stack of magazines.
“But Jin is waiting for us” Ryo continued. Pi swears that Ryo’s whines sound more like a threat.
“Say hi to him will you. Ryo, I’m going to hang up now” Pi replied before ended the call even though he knew Ryo won’t be too happy of it.
It was Friday night and the boys usually hang out somewhere in Roppongi, but he’s simply not in the mood for obnoxious music or flirty girls messing around. But the most valid reason keeping his distance from the troupe was Jin. The guilt of having a crush on Kame was too much for him to bear right now. Sure Jin never stated that he likes Kame in that way, but Pi can’t get rid of his doubt.
There was nothing interesting on and he kept on abusing the button, flicking one channel to another. Then suddenly, his delicate finger stopped pressing. Pi felt his heart beats faster as he stared at the beautiful face which has tormented his sleepless night. It was Kame’s Panasonic CM and he was looking amazing as always.
Pi let out a heavy sighed and fished out his phone. After few ringing tone, the phone was answered. But before the conversation even started, Pi declared firmly “I’ll confess to him.”

A week passed by after he did the declaration to Tegoshi on his battle of love. But, there were nothing much to be celebrated of after one whole week.
Right after his call with Tegoshi ended, Pi did call Kame to arrange for a ‘lets-meet-up-after-work’ session. Kame was indeed surprised getting the call from him and he happily noted the delighted tone from the younger guy was definitely encouraging. But, unfortunately Kame’s schedules for the week were horribly packed.
Then he did try to write a love note instead, knowing the strong feeling of determination he’s having at that particular moment might deprive soon, but all those pieces of paper end up in the dustbin, crumbled violently. He sounds so sappy on paper and he won’t allow such image tainted his life. Especially not with Kame.
Which followed with the thought of confessing through phone, but after hours of consideration, he decided not to. Confessing through phone sounds such a wimp. So, in the end, there was no further action taken.
“Are going to just sit around and wait till our schedule fit theirs? That might be next Countdown Concert?” Tegoshi nagged his leader.
“Nothing much can be done. He’s busy with GOING, the new single, SC and everything else” Pi calmly laid his excuses.
The younger guy shook his head. “Pi, if you drag this thing, someone else might snatch him under your nose. And I’m sure you’re going to regret it if it did.”
Pi stared at his group member pretty face and sighed.

“Are you avoiding me?” his best friend asked a bit too forceful.
“What are you talking about?” Pi denied it quickly but was too nervous to look at the guy in the eyes.
“You didn’t pick up my calls and didn’t even bother to return it?” Jin took another shot of his colorful cocktail.
Pi tilted his head trying to relax his nerves “You sound like a nagging girlfriend. Stop it! I just got busy. That’s all” Pi tried his best playing his poker face.
Jin shook his head “I know you too well to accept such lame excuses and unworthy attempt of changing the topic. But since I’m in a good mood right now being able to drag you out here, I’m letting you go.”
Pi smiled sweetly at his best friend as he gulped down his drinks hoping he’ll pass out soon.

“I saw Ueda in the lobby. He said that KAT-TUN will be around here the whole day” Tegoshi suddenly announced to the room full of other NEWS member.
Pi frowned deeply knowing the hint but before he could react further, Ryo stood up and sternly announced “This is it.”
“What is?” Massu who was busy playing games bravely asked.
“I’m confessing my undying love to him today?” Ryo declared without a hint of hesitation.
“Eh?” all exclaimed in unison clearly surprise at the sudden notion.
Pi stood up as he feels the needs to stop Ryo from doing something crazy “To whom I may ask?”
“Kamenashi Kazuya, of course” Ryo looked straight into Pi’s eyes as if challenging the leader to stop him.
“Kame-chan?” the other four exclaimed together while Pi bit his lips, holding back his tantrum.
“You can’t” Pi replied with all calmness he managed to conjure up even though he was actually badly shaking inside.
Ryo flashed his trademark smirk to the other “And why is that?”
Pi frowned deeply, noticing the other stares darted at him “Because Jin’s our best friend.”
The eerie tense of the room suddenly broke with Ryo’s haunting laughter “Jin knows that I have a crush on Kame. Besides, I have already asked for his green light.”
“But I thought you hated Kame” Pi stammered trying to divert it the conversation the other way.
Ryo shook his head furiously “That was way long ago when he’s such an awkward looking guy. Haven’t you seen him lately? He’s gorgeous now” Ryo added proudly.
‘Of course I have noticed him you bastard’ Pi was screaming in his head. “But what if Johnny finds out? I’m as a leader won’t allow such thing to ruin our group” Pi stated firmly.
“I thought we all agreed not to be involved in ones love life? Sorry Pi, you can’t stop me today” Ryo burst out of the room leaving all the others in shock, including Pi who was rooted firmly to the floor.
“Pi, you have to stop Ryo” Tegoshi finally broke the silence and brought Pi back to reality.
“I will” Pi announced and dashed out of the room heading the same route the other member took. Ryo was indeed quick as not even his shadow was visible.
Pi was practically panting for air when he reached KAT-TUN’s dressing room. Without bothering to knock, he rushed in and saw Ryo standing right in front of Kame. The others KAT-TUN members were also there but obviously were too shock to response to the sudden interruption by two NEWS members.
“What’s going on?” Maru finally spoke, looking from Pi to Ryo curiously.
“I’m here to confess to Kame-chan” Ryo announced with dignity.
“Of course you are not” Pi interrupted, trying to assure the rest of the spectators as well.
“Try and stop me” Ryo challenged as he grabbed Kame into his arms, forcefully.
Pi and Koki jumped over and pulled them apart. “What are you trying to pull” Koki demanded.
“Ryo, stop this nonsense” Pi ordered without even looking at Kame.
But before the sharp tongue guy could argue, Kame suddenly speaks up “It’s okay. Let Ryo say what he intended to say.”
Pi felt his mouth hanged open while Ryo shoved him slightly to be released. Pi felt his heart about to explode and his senses went numb.
“Kame-chan, I would like to date you. I fell for you since forever and finally got the courage to tell you now” Ryo declared as he took Kame’s hand.
“NO~~~~ He lied” Pi suddenly screamed from the top of his lungs and pushed Ryo away. “I’m the one who have fallen for you since the very first time we met you.”
Ryo pulled Pi away “No, you hated him before. Everyone knows that.”
Pi shook his head “No. I thought I hate him coz he was always around Jin. But then I realized that I was actually jealous of Kame getting all close with Jin. But NWP change everything. I love you Kame”
Kame blinked at both of them while the other KAT-TUN members fell in a deep gravely silence. Then suddenly a loud applause came from the entrance. All turned around and saw smiling Tegoshi clapping his hands happily.
“It’s done” Ryo punched the air happily and slumped himself on the empty couch next to Ueda.
“What’s going on?” Koki demanded. “Are you guys rehearsing a drama or something?”
“Is this like those candid video thingy” Junno beamed excitedly looking around for hidden cameras.
“Nope, no camera around, unfortunately. It would be great though to capture Pi’s freaking out face though” Ryo smirked devilishly as he took out his phone and texted someone.
“Tegoshi, care to explain?” Maru finally diverted his attention to the younger guy knowing Ryo was too full of himself to be handled.
“We are just giving Pi the push” Tegoshi replied sweetly.
Pi who was standing next to Kame was speechless, too stunted to react. Then, he felt a firm hands pulled him into a warm embrace before a soft pair of lips met his. He was blinking hard trying to digest the scene and telling himself this is not a dream. And it was not that hard to believe it either thanks the rowdy cheered and scowled mixed in the background.
After few seconds, Kame finally let him go and demurely spoke to him “What took you so long to make that confession?”
Pi felt his legs went wobbly, as he slumped himself on the couch. Koki was not too happy with the kissing scene and was scolding Kame for it. Maru was frowning but he slowly smiled. Junno was cheering happily with Tegoshi while Ryo and Ueda have just started their endless bickering. All the noises were too much and too loud for his faint heart at that very moment. Then suddenly his phone beeped. He took it out cautiously and read the text message from his best friend.

From: Jin
Ryo informed me that it was a success. Congrats!!!
Do bring Kame along tonight to seek my blessing.
Pi stared at the message for awhile before an idiotic smile twitches on his crafted lips. Then he slowly stood up and walked towards Kame and Koki who was still arguing.
Koki was practically throwing him death glares as he abruptly pulled Kame into his arms, which was also the last image that he saw before he kissed Kame demandingly. There was no hint of hesitation this time, as he shut the outside world.

“Kame-chan, I would like to date you. I fell for you since forever and finally got the courage to tell you now” Ryo declared as he took Kame’s hand.
“NO~~~~ He lied” Pi suddenly screamed from the top of his lungs and pushed Ryo away. “I’m the one who have fallen for you since the very first time we met you.”
Ryo pulled Pi away “No, you hated him before. Everyone knows that.”
Pi shook his head “No. I thought I hate him coz he was always around Jin. But then I realized that I was actually jealous of Kame getting all close with Jin. But NWP change everything. I love you Kame”
Kame blinked at both of them while the other KAT-TUN members fell in a deep gravely silence. Then suddenly a loud applause came from the entrance. All turned around and saw smiling Tegoshi clapping his hands happily.
“It’s done” Ryo punched the air happily and slumped himself on the empty couch next to Ueda.
“What’s going on?” Koki demanded. “Are you guys rehearsing a drama or something?”
“Is this like those candid video thingy” Junno beamed excitedly looking around for hidden cameras.
“Nope, no camera around, unfortunately. It would be great though to capture Pi’s freaking out face though” Ryo smirked devilishly as he took out his phone and texted someone.
“Tegoshi, care to explain?” Maru finally diverted his attention to the younger guy knowing Ryo was too full of himself to be handled.
“We are just giving Pi the push” Tegoshi replied sweetly.
Pi who was standing next to Kame was speechless, too stunted to react. Then, he felt a firm hands pulled him into a warm embrace before a soft pair of lips met his. He was blinking hard trying to digest the scene and telling himself this is not a dream. And it was not that hard to believe it either thanks the rowdy cheered and scowled mixed in the background.
After few seconds, Kame finally let him go and demurely spoke to him “What took you so long to make that confession?”
Pi felt his legs went wobbly, as he slumped himself on the couch. Koki was not too happy with the kissing scene and was scolding Kame for it. Maru was frowning but he slowly smiled. Junno was cheering happily with Tegoshi while Ryo and Ueda have just started their endless bickering. All the noises were too much and too loud for his faint heart at that very moment. Then suddenly his phone beeped. He took it out cautiously and read the text message from his best friend.

From: Jin
Ryo informed me that it was a success. Congrats!!!
Do bring Kame along tonight to seek my blessing.
Pi stared at the message for awhile before an idiotic smile twitches on his crafted lips. Then he slowly stood up and walked towards Kame and Koki who was still arguing.
Koki was practically throwing him death glares as he abruptly pulled Kame into his arms, which was also the last image that he saw before he kissed Kame demandingly. There was no hint of hesitation this time, as he shut the outside world.
