Not Indifferent

One of my friends had this quote on her post recently:

“To remain silent and indifferent is

the greatest sin of all”.   Elie Wiesel

Shall we no longer remain silent? I cannot. To have an almost complete invasion into my life by the government is appalling to me; never, in all of my years, (and there are a lot of them) have we had to see the ( Read more... )

If the elections were held today one wonders how they would go. I am ready for 2010 for some house cleaning and I hope most Americans will have the good sense to know who to vote for....but look what we have now so not much sense there. When I heard one congress person admit he didn't read a bill...I was aghast. Reading is not required I guess.
We will be heading for Theodore Roosevelt Park around the middle of October. Should we have time and you are feeling up to it..maybe we could meet for lunch or dinner. We have wanted to visit that park for awhile. Doing some research on things to see along the way.

What we need is someone who can turn things around, and I am not sure who that is going to be. Just let us hope, as I mentioned in the above reply, the blue dogs will vote right; I am not very optomistic though, the group in DC now are very powerful and greed is way above principal ( ... )

We did visit Wall and the store there, (what is it the Wall drug store). I remember it was huge.
So glad you posted the part about the Petrified Park I knew there was something you had mentioned once before.
The visit would only be if you were up to a short visit.
For this generation of politicians to take it upon themselves to trash the constitution is appalling. One by one our freedoms are eroding and when they are gone we will have time to scratch our heads and ask, "WHAT?" We need a good politician with no hidden agenda.

I most certainly would be up for a short visit, so hope we can meet. I did neglect to mention there is an interesting highway called (if I remember right) the Enchanted Highway, the friend who was with me was very taken by it, I thought it was fun, but I was still so thrilled about seeing the Petrifieid Park; I cannot remember the number but there is a large sign on I-94 about it, and right now that is all I can remember, it will take you into Lemmon with no extra driving if you decide to go that way.

Yes, it is Wall Drug Store, and it is huge;(for being in this part of the country, that is) it is a fun place, and one can do a lot of just looking and not spend a dime, or even a nickel for coffee. It is full of original art, has a wonderful Print and Poster in the Mall, good food, and friendly people. It has made the little town of Wall a good place to do business.
