I actually had this conversation with my friends newly adopted child. His name is Craig, but I'm thinking he should be a 'Damien'. Anyway I suddenly found myself trying to reason with a five year old on how he should be wearing his shoes in a beer garden in case he stepped on glass

I like that, instead of being threatened with the airlock, he now threatens Jayne with letting River dissect him. *evil laugh*

"Can I dissect Jayne, Captain, please?" River turned her doe-eyes on Mal, his heart flipping as they begged him for this treat.
"It's not--"
"Please?" She pouted and all was lost.
Mal turned to Jayne regretfully, watching as the blood drained out of his face at the realisation that the captain had caved.
"Sorry, Jayne. We all gotta suffer for Serenity."

"Jayne, I'm gonna throw you into the airlock if you do that again." Mal was staring pointedly at his mercenary.
"But Mal..." Jayne tried to say before being interrupted.
"Jayne, apparently the threat of the airlock doesn't impress you much. Maybe I should see if River still wants to perform an ape-topsy?"
Jayne face paled as he heard River's voice come down from the catwalk.
"Please Captain. Want to determine if the mammalian classification is correct and if he's a girl. Jayne is a girls name."
Seeing that Jayne was suitably intimidated, Mal smiled as he walked away.
