Heate! I agree with your friends who suggest the nursing school route. I know...negative information on nursing school and doctory things, but over my difficult summer I have come to the one solid conclusion that everything happens for a reason, and so if you're not getting into the school you had your heart set on, that's okay, because maybe the school you get into is actually way better, you have way more fun, make the right connections, and enjoy the process of becoming a nurse. I wish I was back in NH to see you and huggle you, hang out and help, but I can't be because my life has taken me to NC where I live with Ryan. That said, I'm going to get on AIM more often and bop the heck out of you!! Bop bop.
Bop.
I'm sure there are...hundreds, maybe even thousands of nursing programs you still CAN get into, and maybe waiting won't be so bad. I know a year feels really far away but it's not, and when you look back you go "wtf when did all this happen?"
If you're really hung up on that school that told you to wait a year or two and you just don't want to go anywhere else, or the other programs are full, apply and be consistent with all of the programs you want to be considered for and enjoy a year off. You're still the nanny for those adorable girls, right? Maybe you can do that more. Or maybe something else will come up! Maybe this is a year for you to do things you weren't able to do before!!
