Author’s note: More fun Galinda bashing. I really do love the blonde, but Elphie still doesn’t.
They had only shared a dorm room for three days and already Elphaba was ready to strangle Galinda. No one had ever gotten under her skin quite the same way this particular blonde had. Strangle her pretty neck or smother her with a pillow in her blissful sleep. She hunched over her desk. Her long black hair flowed over her shoulders casting shadows on the parchment below.
Galinda had fallen asleep just seconds after Elphaba had started to quiz her on the material they had learned that day. She preferred it that way, the silence this afforded her, not having to worry about being interrupted by inane chattering.

Author’s note: Elphaba’s second best kept secret
“Her birthday is when?!” Galinda shrieked, rounding on poor Boq in shock. She grabbed him bu the shoulders and shook him, “How did you find this out?”
Boq stammered, heat crept up his neck and into his cheeks. “I-I asked, Miss Galinda, I’m m-making a list you see.” His trembling hand reached into his pocket and out came the mentioned list. Galinda grabbed in roughly, scanning the names and dates. Finally her eyes lit upon the one she was looking for.
“But,” she began, shaking her head in confusion, “It’s in two weeks.” She gazed at the helpless munchkinlander. “Why didn’t she tell me?”

“For how long?” she asked, folding her arms across her chest in a protective manner.
“Two months, three at the most.”
Elphaba turned away from him, facing the lone window in the room. He could see her shoulders shaking, but he knew no tears would fall.
“Why?” Came her shaky response. She tilted her head so he could just make out her silhouette. “Why now?”
“You knew this wasn’t a permanent thing.”
She sneered, “Fine go back to her then.”
“She is my wife,” Fiyero tried to reason.
“Who you haven’t seen in years,” Elphaba shot back, “Why now?”
“Do I need a reason to visit my family?” He sighed and went up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. In her ear he whispered, “I love you, Fabala.”
She shook her head and gave him a small, melancholy smile, “No, you don’t.”

Author’s note: Angry Nor
Her father was dead. Nor couldn’t remember the time she had last seen him alive. Her mother had told her just that morning that some strange woman had told her awful news. But was it truly that awful? Years had passed since she had last seen Fiyero and while she knew she should be mourning his passing, she couldn’t find it in her. She could remember the stories her mother would tell her about him. How he was brave and intelligent. But obviously he wasn’t all that smart if he wound up dead. She snorted, crinkling the picture she had drawn of him in her hand.
