Beware, Texas. I have arrived.
Getting here, however, has been quite an adventure. I was almost late for the plane, having spent forty-five minutes trying to find a parking spot and over an hour checking baggage and going through security. I arrived at the gate just as they began boarding.
The flight was insanely jumpy; I think I left my stomach at the baggage claim. The poor little old lady next to me kept clutching her stomach at each bump, squeezing her husband's hand a little more with each episode of turbulence.
Once I arrived, I had no problem finding a taxi. Unfortunately, my taxi driver had no freaking clue where I needed to go. Being a directionally challenged person myself, I spent the entire cab ride directing the man using the maps function on my iPhone.
Good thought: it can only get better from here. Hunkering down for the night with Texas cable and my statistics assignment. Museums in the morning.
