Our spring break isn't until the 17th. Because we started school later this year, all our holidays got shifted a couple of weeks forward. If we had started at the beginning of August like we used to, our breaks would be the same!
That is suck-o as it would have been fabu to meet you in real-life-person.
Any other thoughts on things to do in Houston? Since I'm arriving on Friday and Kelly won't be home until Saturday, I'm planning on hitting the Natural History Museum on Friday night, the aquarium and Fine Arts Museum on Saturday but have no real direction for the rest of the time.
The downtown arts district is full of things to do and see as well. Here is a calendar of events for things going on next weekend.
Also, if you are into historical downtown areas, Galveston is about an hour drive away off of the Gulf Freeway (I-45). The Strand (downtown Galveston) is a wonderful historical district with lots of shopping and just generally cool buildings.
I believe we're hitting Galveston on Sunday and I'll definitely have to hit up the Strand. I'm pretty excited about playing in the ocean...
And I'm super excited for the Pompeii: Tales from the Eruption exhibit at the Museum of Fine Art. I'm currently working my way back through my books on Pompeii rather than working on my paper due on Monday. This is a bad thing.
When is your spring break? We are headed to Houston to see Lucy, and if you are there at the same time we are, we could meet!

You need to eat seafood at Gaido's on the Seawall. Best seafood on the Texas Gulf, ever.
And you are certainly welcome for the suggestions! I hope you have fun!!
