i went to see my doctor yesterday afternoon about my tendonitis. he told me basically everything i already knew, and did all the same tests that had already been done on me. his conclusion: it's not carpal tunnel. it's tendonitis. the rx strength motrin that i had been given over a month ago hasn't been helping, so he gave me a muscle relaxer for the pain. amitriptyline. i took the pill at 9pm last night and quickly passed out. after more than 12 hours, i'm still feeling the effects of the medication. this pill, mind you, is an entire 10 milligrams. 10. in higher doses it's used as an anti-depressant. always encouraging. atleast it does what it's intended to do. driving to work this morning was rather interesting. not your typical head floatey kinda driving that you get from other muscle relaxants/pain relievers. it was exciting, actually. changing lanes, green lights, accelerating. in some alternate universe, i was a race car driver.
