I find that I am filling my schedule to its full capacity lately. Perhaps it is due to the upcoming events that will no doubt be sneaking up on me before I know it, or perhaps it is due to the oddly vacant nights that I find myself having since I had lost some unwanted weight.
Isn't it funny, how re-shifting your focus broadens your view of what is out there, and forms new, exciting opportunities for what was once a doomed, dull requiem to trod through.
But now I have a new student, two new projects, several newcomers to my city...Austin is growing again, and this time they appear to be more social than the past - which will definitely make for more entertaining gatherings. Maybe my eyes won't wander too far away from my home from now on...all the better.
Although, truth be said, visitors are quite deserving of my affection and attention, platonic or otherwise - after all, traveling is becoming all more the hassle these days, and notice should be made to those who care enough to come to Texas to see me. Sigh. I do not miss traveling, not in the slightest. I don't envy those who are headed to Seattle this weekend, though I am somewhat envious, as there are some who will be there that I have not seen for a while...
Particularly Ville. I get messages from him quite often, but other than that, he's so busy with his studies and making a name for himself there. I suppose I can appreciate the fact that he does make a regular effort to contact me. Unlike some people.
I must persevere. Focus on my studies, and being the diligent Dragon and Daeva that I am. It will pay off in the long run, even if I struggle.
