As you all know I am crazy fanatical Buffy fangirl. I particularly have this amazing, wonderful, artistic crush on the show's creator Joss Whedon. I've always wanted to meet him and get his signature on one of his comic books. But he rarely leaves the west coast.
Yesterday going to work, I saw a blurb in the Metro that Joss Whedon along with other WGA members would be at a rally in Harvard square. I rushed to work to find out the when and the exactly where, only to find out it started at noon went the whole afternoon. I couldn't leave work and was completely bummed, but followed links to find that Joss and the other writers would be going to Pandemonium Books in Central Square after the rally to sign things. So I ran out of work at 4:30 (I'll make up the time next week) and rushed to get in line for 3 hours.
As anyone who's ever been in a fandom line knows, I made a few friends, and had a fantastic time waiting to meet my idol. Which of course I was pretty much speechless, forgot that my cell takes pictures so I didn't get one of the two of us (He was doing that and taking time to talk to people, which is awesome, except my brain wouldn't function). But I did get a signature and a hug. So one of my life goals is now complete.
