Went to Hope Church today

I went to Hope Church in JP tonight. It is an open and affirming church. It is completely and utterly different from the church I grew up in and it is hard to imagine they are both part of the same denomination. It was wild, and I was very shy. Some very nice people came up to say hello and introduce themselves after wards and I'll probably go again, if for nothing else than the music. Which was finaminal - they had piano, bass and drums. It was crazy cool.

Side note I got a new icon from GLBT community on LJ.
