For my 49th birthday, I posted my first LiveJournal entry.
Today, for my 63rd birthday, I am posting my last.
For some time now, I have felt it was time to leave LiveJournal. Most of the people I friended here have left, or just no longer post. Quite a few of you are now on Facebook, and we are still connected there, and I dearly hope that will continue. If you feel differently, I will understand. But, I will miss you.
Time moves on, and change is inevitable. People enter your life, some stay, and some move on. And, some are taken suddenly, and we mourn their loss.
To all of you that accepted this stranger, who was just looking for other adults who were as fascinated with the Harry Potter books as I was, thank you. Your kind words, given to me at times when I needed them, mean more to me than you will ever know. You congratulated me when a new grandchild entered our family (many times), and sympathized with me when when my mother died. Your own postings gave me insight to things I may not have ever been able to be a part of. I celebrated new homes, marriages and new babies, and wept with you at losses in your life.
But most of all, I am so grateful to have met all of you.
My birthday wish is that you all be safe, be happy and healthy, and to love and be loved.
Goodbye.
