The Stolen Person Project, in which I have previously not participated, has a new life in my eyes. You see, it is a wonderful tool for reflection, for stimulating memory, and for personal insight, in addition to honoring those people who have touched you or effected your life in some way, good or bad. It is also an exercise in writing efficiently ( Read more... )

Enjoying and inspired by your journal. Thanks Kimberly!

And, in an effort to remain marginally on-topic (if such a state exists), may I say that the Character Book sounds like a marvelous tool. I should probably 'lift' your idea and adapt it for my personal use.

oooh... I'm too close to on-topic. Um, Thank You also for the fun conversation the other day and I'll be chatting you up again soon!

I see validity in your SPP character generator. However, as a writer, I find that no matter what details I give my characters, all their voices are the same, because it's all my voice. I'm speaking particularly of novel-esque writting. I found that in script writing, what I wrote, and what got performed were sometimes drastically different. Frequently for the better.

Futhermore, I'd like to share that I forgot my point and/or question.

Sorry.

How Mad Hatter of you.

Personally, if I can hear someone in my head speaking, I can write down what they say and it does sound like that person talking. I think it comes form all the roleplaying and acting and stuff. Anyway, it works for me. Having the actors interpret scripts is fabulous because then it really does sound like a different person--someone you probably didn't even know when you wrote it. That's the most real character--the collaboration of writer and actor.

And I LOVE the new icon ;-)

The problem is there is no problem. You see, if the voices that are in your head are actually speaking...then transcribe what is already a different voice. I mean, I have multiple voices (and meds to keep them in line) and they all speak quite differently.

Contrary-wise, when the voices are monotone simply inhale some helium and then at least they all sound like Mickey Mouse (which, by default, is a different voice...unless you ARE Mickey Mouse)

I want a clean plate...everyone move one place down....THUMP!
