(no subject)
this weekend was pretty mellow and kick-back. i don't have a clue what's going on with the store though - one minute we're busy like it's christmas in june, and this week we're hella slow. this past weekend my shifts were 3 hours long and they stuck me in the fitting room for them....needless to say i was pretty pisses off and in a foul mood the whole time. shannon got some serious ranting from me, but it wasn't her fault because she doesn't do the schedules...oh well, 1 more month...
other than that thorn in my side, i also went to jamie's birthday luau(sp?) on saturday which was fun. unfortunately, i stuffed myself silly with chicken katsu, macaroni salad, salmon and pancit palabok that i was too full for birthday cake. OMG, her cake was the same kind of cake i had last year for my birthday and it's sooooooo good! it's from this dutch bakery called hans and harry's and they make the most delicious stuff. i always get my cakes there and hit them up every friday for an eclair =)
sunday i worked in the morning and was out by 2. demesio and i hit up mimi's cafe and had an early dinner. their food is really good and it's so hard to decide on just one thing, but i ended up getting the blue crab cakes. they were so awesome and made just the way i like them - a lot of crab meat and very crispy/crunchy. after dinner, we hit up coffee bean and tea leaf where i had a green tea blended. THE BEST DRINK EVER! =) we sat around for awhile and gossiped about work and people, but left when it got too cold because we were sitting outside. then have a fire pit outside, but they didn't light it that night. anyways, didn't do much after that. just went home, showered, changed into my jammies and read "memoirs of a geisha" for the millionth time.
