Dumb writers

To this day, the most unbelievable thing to happen in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, IMHO, is Admiral Ross supposedly suffering an aneurysm and managing to survive. I don't care how good Federation tech is, an aneurysm is instant death. He wouldn't have survived long enough to get into surgery to save his life, and even if he had, he'd have suffered massive brain damage as a result.

Like seriously, that one scene should've gone...

Bashir: Where's Sloane?
Ross: How did you know?
Bashir: Well Sloane isn't that sloppy of course, but honestly, when I heard you survived your aneurysm, that was the moment. What an idiotic excuse to give a medical doctor. You had to have known it would only work until I found out you were still miraculously alive.
Ross: Damn it, you're right. Well I'm an admiral, not a doctor. . . . This was cross-posted from https://fayanora.dreamwidth.org/1673723.html
