my dad nearly killed me in the car today on the way home from work to avoid hitting a bunny rabbit. so here's what went down. its a two minute ride home and today i randomly didn't bother to put my seatbelt on. so he stops short for the bunny rabbit and swerves a bit so i get thrown (not to hard but still thrown) toward the dashboard and tossed back and forth a bit so he has to grab me. so i'm pretty irritated and say something like "Jeez, dad! it's a freakin' bunny rabbit! your gonna kill me to keep it alive?!" So anyway we get home and my dad pulls in to the driveway and we see another bunny rabbit in the yard. So my dad starts driving around in the yard pretending to try to hit the bunny rabbit saying things like "freakin' bunny rabbit! i'll show you to run around in the road!" then sees another one and keeps going. it was HILARIOUS! pulled me out of my sour mood rather quickly. i love my dad.
So i had a fabulous weekend in Austin! Got to see quite a bit of the Chris :) and spend time with his family, party with a few of my favorite mello girls! At one point i was walking the drag by myself with bubble tea and it was cool and cloudy outside, looking at the UT campus... it was wonderful.
came back sunday night and saw Les Mis at the Music Hall with Jacob and some of his friends! Incredible! Thanks again jMan!
Then i came back to town and surprise! my bestie was in town! So the 4th was full of IHOP and some semi-illegal firework fun. And best of all Ling Ling the climbing panda survived it all!
So... after tomorrow my teenage years are officially over. 19 was a really great year i have to say. And i learned something very important... Rhett Miller has some awesome songs about being nineteen :) And here are some of my favorite lyrics from them to commerate the end of the my ninteenth year:
Nineteen
Is not the age of reason.
I didn't have a reason
To setting you free...
I've seen
A lot of love go sour.
But that's not our love.
You see the problem was
I was only nineteen...
All I ever wanted to do
Was lie around in bed with you.
I was only nineteen. I was only nineteen.
I was only nineteen. I was only nineteen...

You look like my mother
did when she was nineteen,
not afraid to die
I started planning our future
when you were just nineteen,
I stole a firefly
Never say you'll never leave,
cause you'll never know til you try
In a jar, fireflies
only last for one night
only last for one night
okay enough of that nonsense this is a really long post now, i'll leave you with a couple pictures of my favorite exhibit at the Blanton (which leaves July 9th), The Invisible Jump!
