Dream

Also, on a more ethereal note, one of my reaccuring dreams took a new turn last night. I'm not sure if I've mentioned it here, but it began earlier this year. In it, I am sleeping and wake to sounds outside my window, (of the house I was living in when the dream began). When I wake, (in the dream), I briefly see shadows outside my window coming toward our back door. I always get up in the dream and go into the hallway where there are two giant human albinos.

They are very skinny, vaguely alien like, (the stereotypical black-eyed, almond-headed aliens), but more like 80% human, 20% alien. One is female and the other is male. They are nude, but I don't see anything anatomical, and their sexual distinction is dream intuition. The female is standing behind the male, facing left, squating, and shining a red flashlight into the house cat's face.

The male is facing me directly and shining a yellow flashlight in my face. I raise my hand to block the light and he dims the flashlight, but doesn't turn it off. As I approach he lowers the flashlight and we look at each other. Once we make eye contact I usually wake up. His gaze is always the same, very intense, a weird combination of humor and sorrow, like he knows something terribly sad but is somehow amused at how trivial it actually is. Last night though, his eyes were all sorrow, and for the first time his face smiled. He also briefly caressed my face. The hand was neither warm or cold, room temp. It is at the moment he touched me that I woke.

INSTERESTING NOTE:

My grandmother, whom I grew up with, owned a red flashlight.
