i hope to revisit a friendly ear someday
today was nearly one of the craziest days of my life...
i was at work, stocking frozen product, as usual
just another boring day...
i had just eaten lunch, tofu from the chinese section
and was starting to break down a runner
when it happened...
there was this kid walking down the ice cream isle,
i dunno what it was about him, but he was the ugliest kid i had seen in a long time
not like, gross ugly, but excessively funny looking
but he's just struting down the frozen isle; he looked like goofy to me
with this like happy bounce in his step
and man... i lost it.
i just started to laugh.
then, for some reason (i do this often), i thought "what if the world was an online video game?"
"if it was, the person controlling that kid would definitely be jonathan pierce, my brother"
and then, all i could think about was my brother's old online game character
nigga made this ugly elf thief who wore bright orange clothes and just ran around and killed other players
eggs, thy name. eggs the ugly elf thief/

then i lost it some more, and i couldn't stop laughing...
i mean, i was really laughing hard, i couldn't stop
i had to go into the back of the store, away from the customers because i was just laughing
i had not laughed like that in a long time...
all i could think about for the rest of the day was my brothers,
and how crazy they are.
i could write a million different things that i thought about, that were just making me crack up all day
but it's a personally thing...
anyway, the point of the story is -
if the world is an online video game
and everyone is runnin' around tryin' to be all serious
get to level 100, get all the best armor and find the best weapon
some of the people having the most fun, and making other people laugh (which is a hard thing to do)
are the kids who make the ugliest characters they can think of
clothe them in the most obnoxious clothes
give up on the game, and just play.
