Holiday wish list... wanna join in?
I got this from shepsangel , not sure if it started there or not... but I thought it was a good idea and a good way to make someone happy at lease in a small way this holiday season. With the economy and junk the way it is, I figure even the smallest gesture could mean loads to someone.
If you wanna join in on spreading the holiday joy, please do!
.step one
Make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered... whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV"). The important thing is to make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) can get in touch with you. Your home address is not required!
Make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Surf around your friends list (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now, here's the important part...
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes one person's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use - or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free - do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf - to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not - it's your call. There are no guarantees with this project, and no strings attached. Just... wish, and it might come true. Give and you might receive. You'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
My wishlist...
1) I'd LOVE a McShep icon that someone makes for me and me alone! Since I don't really know how to make icons (not good ones anyway)... especially ones that move, It'd be nice to have one :)
2) I'd like someone to upload a DVD ripping program, or post a link to one. I really would like one, can't afford one at the moment and if I could... can't find one. At least, give me the name of a good DVD ripping program that I might be able to talk someone into getting me, and where to buy it.
3) A McShep manip! I am NO GOOD at making those and I LOVE looking at them! I don't need any... um... private parts... showing :) But the McSheppier the better! There's one that I saw somewhere ( I think berlinghoff79 made it but I'm not positive) that has John and Rodney in a rather compromising position on a white sofa or bed in Atlantis... John's got on running shoes and Rodney either has his pants around one ankle or one boot on... but it wasn't big enough to make me super happy, not that I wasn't happy to look at it! Something like that might just make me happy for all of next year!
4) I would totally love a McShep (see a pattern here?) fic, a really long one would be great! If I had my druthers, I'd have it written in xanthe 's coming home universe... but I won't be crossing my fingers for that. She's more into NCIS fic right now. But I'd like a fic focused mainly on John and Rodney, I'm pretty easy to please as long as it's McShep focused, but if it were to be BDSM, I would like it written like Xanthe writes it... I don't really like that 'I'll beat you into submission' kind of bdsm.
I am a real sucker for hurt/comfort! and First time! and AU! I also love pining!John and oblivious!Rodney, as long as it ends with them together! and fic where they spend time together as friends and one or both slowly realize that they've moved beyond the friendship kind of liking... and ends with them together :) I prefer NC17, but R is good too :)
It wouldn't necessarily have to be written FOR me... and it wouldn't have to be new. If you have a list of McShep fic that fit, I'd be more than happy with that, and hope I haven't already read at least one of them! But I like 'em long!
5) Joe Flanigan! Hey, I'm half way through the list, I thought it was time for a totally outrageous wish! It doesn't have to be the real Joe... I'd be fine with a clone... as long as it's not baby Joe!
6) Uploads of Anything with Joe, David, Kavan, and Alexis Cruz, including tv shows. The only movies I have of Joe's are Farewell to Harry and Thought Crimes. I had alot more, but they were stolen and my heart was broken! Of course, if you have hard copies of these movies that you'd like to get rid of I'd be happy to take them off your hands (Farewell to Harry is the only DVD I have, TC is on my comp). Email me for my mailing address :)
I have more of David's movies, but I won't list them all... I have... Nothing, ADB, Cube, Century Hotel,
I have nothing of Kavan's.
For Alexis all I'd really need would be tv shows he's been in as I have all of his movies!

8) A video for Michael both human and hybrid, to the song "the game" by disturbed, from his progression from Michael the human to the most recent ep he was in. with focus on his 'relationship'/'hatred' of Team Sheppard. I'd like to have it dedicated to me as Atlantis Jackson rather than fawkesielady_ed please :)
9) I don't know how to make banners or layouts for lj so I'd love a layout for John Sheppard/Joe Flanigan characters (with instructions on how to make use of it :) ). I'd also like a written tutorial on how to link to something without having the link show... instead of www blah blah blah... a word or something. I've tried to figure that out but it never works!!
10) I know this one is unusual... but... I'd like a fic that has John Sheppard and Daniel Jackson together. It doesn't have to be kid fic... I wouldn't like them any younger than 16 at least... but older would be better. It can be AU where neither work for the SGC... or before they got with the SGC or before John got the Atlantis mission. whatever, as long as John and Daniel are in a relationship!
For all fic wished for, I like NC17 or R at least.
