Brigit's Flame is now on Dreamwidth!

Brigit's Flame is a LiveJournal writing community that I joined a few years ago. The Mods have now opened a sister community on Dreamwidth. They really want to attract new members.

I heartily recommend it to anyone. The people are very friendly and it is a lot of fun. Each week a new prompt is posted by the Mods and members write something (long or short, poetry, prose, fiction, non-fiction, etc) inspired by the prompt. Community members read one another's work and comment and also vote for the one(s) they like best. This builds up week on week for the month until the last week members vote for the 'winner' that month. Not that you win anything, except the respect of your fellow community members (and the fun of doing this). Con-crit is very much a part of this community with people taking turns to 'edit' members' work (eg commenting on use of topic, style, plot or character development, grammar and punctuation, etc).
