Work announcement this morning.
Our function is being out-sourced in Sept.
We don't know what this means yet. We'll know on or by the end of June.
There is a chance we'll all just keep our jobs, and work in the same location doing the same thing, only employed by someone else.
There is a chance that the jobs will move to Sheffield, or India, or the Moon or something, at which point I will have pretty much just slipped over working here for two years, and will get two years worth of redundancy payout.
I would rate my mood as 'relieved'. Now I know what's happening in the future, to some extent, and have already begun to realise that I don't want to try any career linked with the financial services industry.
I think I want to work on a farm. I understand it's quite hard work. It may have to wait until after the end of ShatLeg.
But hey! If we're made redundant at the end of Sept, that means I can start full-time work on ShatLeg again!
