Erm. It seems that several of my notes--ah, caught fire during the earthquake. Only a minor setback, hopefully!

Carl, I hope that you sustained no injuries? Paperwork can easily be replaced, even if it means a delay in a project...

No, no... I wasn't present, fortunately. The delay might be more sizable than I had anticipated, actually, but I assure you that I'll have something to show for myself soon enough.

That's quite alright, I understand. Do you need help with any cleanup at the lab? Also, if upon closer inspection any of your equipment is damaged, just send me a list and I'll be sure to have it replaced quickly.
