Post-bkk
Bkk-what an amazing break for me, too. Thank 1st-baby and lingpie again for being such wonderful travelling companions :)
My take-outs post-bkk:
(1) Food!! Always thought thai food are tom yum, yum woon sen and the zillions "thai" dishes we also find in Sg. To my amazement, the true-blue thai food are also the wonton mee, the braised pork rice, the noodle soup with chilli flakes, the crispy sweet & salted "mee zhang kueh" etc!
(2) Pratunam- i have never truly traverse the "rougher" streets of Thailand. I think this come close :P
(3) Bkk from the top-Sirocco Tower! This is a new experience for me too. Kinda surreal to be in the middle of the 1st & the 3rd world.. (thx lingpie, for buying the lychee martini)
(4) Cheap shoppings.. haha, can't talk about bkk without mentioning shoppings! it's amazing to be in a country where massive brands production lines reside.. the spillover into the streets.. nothing we will ever witness in Sg.
(5) Yes, credit mention to lingpie, the world is indeed vast. I need to travel out more, to explore and see and experience, esp beyond the usual touristy routine.
(6) Last but not least, 1st-baby- thanks for always bringing wonderful times to us whenever u came back for visit. Of coz for tempting me to try the MBK "mee zhang kueh"..i think about them fairly frequently now & then..
