Cross My Heart by
Carly Phillips - Eh, decent romance, nothing to go ga-ga over.
The Geography of Girlhood by
Kirsten Smith - This book was written as a series of poems. I enjoyed it up until the last 20 or so poems, where I thought the main character went off on some pretty random tangents.
Sex Kittens and Horn Dawgs Fall In Love by
Maryrose Wood - Cute, very cute. I liked the boldness of the main character, she was not like the typical YA heroin, which was very refreshing.
The Guy Not Taken: Stories by
Jennifer Weiner - I really enjoyed this. I didn't think her last novel, Goodnight Nobody, was one of her best, so I was a bit anxious about this short story collection. But I was charmed. She's back! I was only sad that I'd read one of the stories in another collection recently, so there was one less story to read.
Keeping the Moon by
Sarah Dessen - This book made my heart happy. I totally get why so many of my friends love it. And I think Norman might be right up there with Marcus Flutie and Edmund (from Twilight) in my YA guy love.
Princess Academy by
Shannon Hale - I loved the premise of this book, that all the girls from a mountain village have to go to a special school so the prince of the land can choose one for his wife. Great characters and a great, sweet resolution.
