The Doctor showed me a better way of living your life. You know, he showed you too. That you don't just give up. You don't just let things happen. You make a stand. You say no. You have the guts to do what's right when everyone else just runs away, and I just can't-

Tis why I love her and don't get why haters hate someone who can say that and be that.

That speech is legit one of my favorite moments in the entire show. Billie just knocks it out of the park.

I do think Angel liked Cordy more than people usually think even back in Sunnydale. I think he found her amusing, both in terms of finding her behavior funny and in what she said--she is one of the only people we see who makes him genuinely smile (most famously back in the cafe in the Halloween episode, he's even laughing! And earlier when he sees her pop out of the dumpster). I remember there's a BTS segment or interview feature thing where you see Charisma and David talking about their characters and Charisma talks about how Angel dislikes Cordy and he's like, "I don't think that's true..." He was so happy to see a familiar face too in the ATS opener...

IA. Even back in Sunnydale, I think Angel was at least amused by Cordy's shenanigans.

I love that Rose speech so much and it's part of why I don't get how people can criticize Rose as like... only loving the TARDIS or whatever when she explicitly says that's not it. Awww Rose.

Right? Rose wants to fight to save people. Yes, she loves traveling in the Tardis. Yes, she loves the Doctor. But saving people and not sitting idly by while bad things happen is incredibly important to her.

There was always something inside of her that deserved to be loved, even if the people around her didn’t see it.

Ugh, yes. Yes to everything. Beautiful stuff.

Also, agreed about the Catelyn stuff. People blaming her for being too "emotional" in those situations is... very odd.

People blame Catelyn for the weirdest things and accuse for the oddest things too. Someone else wrote a pretty fab meta about Catelyn for womenlovefest that addresses some of the major complaints that fandom lobs her way.

I really enjoyed reading your meta about Catelyn. As I have stated before, I really have some issues with her character, especially where her decision with capturing Tyrion is concerned, but now I have to rethink my attitude towards her, so thank you for that!

I'm glad you liked it! I think part of the problem with the way the Tyrion incident plays out is that it ends way worse than it should have. Catelyn had no idea her sister had gone mad. She thought that she could take Tyrion to the Eyrie and figure things out, but Lysa took charge and Cat had no power there. And since Lysa is unbalanced we get the whole sky cell and then trial bit. That was not at all what Cat wanted. She just wanted to take Tyrion somewhere where the men she assumed Tywin would send after her wouldn't follow to figure things out. But really it's all out of Cat's control once she gets to the Eyrie.
