...Believe It Can Be Done...
Yesterday evening and this afternoon I sat down and wrote some music for my composition lesson. But this time I got to write something that approaches the kind of music I want to write. Not some piece for a wierd ensemble of random instruments that nobody will ever listen to, not some abstract sound piece...not something that I have to refer to as a "piece." I started writing a song, for piano and voice - A song, like somebody who writes music for himself AND the audience, like somebody in a band, like somebody who writes music for people to listen to in their cars and at their computers, to make them happy, to make them think, to make their own...like somebody I would love to become.
