i get by with a little help from my friends
hey! i think that might have been the first time i've titled an entry with a song lyric. but it won't be the last! anywho, so i have reached a moral dilemma: too many shows! which is really amazingly terriffic, except that i might have over committed myself and i might have to chose which i'd prefer.

alright so, today i got a phone call from david yeakle, who is one of the more well-known directors in town, the message he left went something like this:
hey, kathleen! this is david yeakle. my phone number is x, would you call me back as soon as you get this please? tongue and groove theatre (http://www.tongueandgroovetheatre.com/) is putting on an arabian midsummer's night dream and i'm directing and i'd love for you to be in it. i saw your monologue for into the west and it was fantastic and i saw you in (laughs slightly [it's ok it was a really bad show {just ask ferb}] blood wedding and you were exceptional. so please call me back, i'm looking to cast by this week. we'd start rehearsals in a couple of weeks and the show would run for three weeks in july.
i was extremely tickled by this! so many great things about this phone call!! however, the month of july is st. edward's summer stock, which i'm already sort of dedicated to (they haven't filled me in on what's going on) and rehearsals for dead gay son as well as laticia's show will be happening in june. all i know though is that i can't begin to articulate how incredible this all is for me!! ooh also, if you can, dearest friend, provide me with a nap the week of june 12-16. on said week i'll have rehearsals for too many frogs! from 7:30-10:15 am followed by being a theatre camp counselor from 1-6 pm topped off by the final week of rehearsals leading up to the opening of i love my dead gay son: the musical! (nb: the house show i'm doing with laticia will end sunday june 11, just in time) it's going to be a sleepy week, but so amazing!!!
anywho, how are you? i hope the end of the school year is going better the great for all of you!! i miss everyone and can't wait to spend time with you!! just know that amongst all this summer theatre fun i still want to hug and love and see you! LOVE!
