i am so physically exhausted right now. and yet somehow i can't sleep. i felt really good today, despite (or maybe because of) the fact that i didn't do any homework whatsoever. i took a walk for about an hour today with my dog, and then stopped in the park on my way back to take a nap in the sun. it was nice. :)

tomorrow i am going shopping! in my favourite neighbourhood/district! wooohooo ethnic/hippie/junk/thrift/antique stores! while working on my giant painting... oh WAIT. hahaha, i haven't talked about my painting. well... it is for school. and it is fucking HUGE. like 2ft. by 3ft. - a still life. in ACRYLIC <--- ya, wtf? apparently oils are against ministry guidelines in schools though... maybe because they are poisonous. :P

anyway, this is really my first serious acrylic painting EVERRRRR. but really my second. i am very very proud of it.... considering how much i have learned. i spent over 10 hours on it, though. i started out whining, complaining that "i don't understand painting" but now i have finished and i think it may become a major part of my portfolio. and i want to paint more! (hahaha, but not just yet - i am exhausted). but yeah... i will take pictures and show you them sometime... i used this really old typewriter that was lying around as a prop in my composition. and I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. i love the sound and the feel of the typewriter keys going down. the mechanical-ness of it seems to imitate the cognitive creative process of the mind... you know, that kind of like image where you would a imagine a person's brains with hundreds of little cogs ticking in it? yaaaaaaaaa i have an over-active imagination.

i am so bi-polar it is sad. i didn't post for about 3 months, and now i have posted 4 times in one day. zoloft!

oh - i also got my first Yo La Tengo album today! i've only listened to it twice, so i don't feel i can give a full review yet.. but i already know that it will probably become on of my favourites. the songs on this album, I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One are so versatile... and soothing.

i think i will go to sleep now.
